Are these beds safe?
Yes.
All of the Leggett & Platt adjustable beds feature a free fall safety design-- gravity brings the bed sections to the flat position, not a motor.  What this essentially means is that when an object is caught between the frame and the deck, the motor will continue to run until it thinks the bed is flat.  However, the only pressure that is applied to the object is the weight of person on the bed.  Once the obstruction is removed the bed will drop to the flat position.

No, there is no manufacturer that will make an adjustable mattress with heat built in due to the bending action of the mattress. The "heat" normally offered by direct sales companies is merely an electric mattress pad that can be found in most department stores.

Yes, as long as you registered your warranty with Leggett & Platt it will be in effect at your new home. Just call 1-800-888-3078 for national warranty service.
